Our Company History
Coffey Medical, Inc. was founded in 1991 in Indianapolis, Indiana to market and sell specialty medical devices and software technology across the United States. Our focus has never changed. We help large companies and startups sell unique and exceptional products in limited markets where we can outshine our competitors. We accomplish this by offering expertise, sales strategies and better pricing value to our trusted customers. We have relationships with hundreds of hospitals and independent clinics.
We work to differentiate ourselves and the products we represent by providing the prospect with more information and show them how they can be more successful implementing our solutions.
Our business model is to focus on just a few product lines. Our experience is that sales reps cannot do an effective job with any product line if they are being pulled in too many directions. From experience we have learned more feet on the street does not necessarily equate to higher sales. Our approach of using a focused sales strategy has paid great dividends to Coffey Medical and the companies we have represented or distributed for. Since inception, Coffey Medical has sold more than $100 million total sales. Most of these sales were in lower cost devices of less than $30,000 and software for less than $100,000. We have been successful in negotiating deals more than $1 million as well.
One area of expertise we have is in the field of Cardiology with an emphasis on electrocardiography. We have had a partnership with Philips, the industry expert in Holter, Stress and Cardiographs going back to 1999.

Our Philips Partnership
Holter
For the past 22 years, we have worked with Philips Healthcare selling the Zymed Holter System. The Philips Zymed Holter System is a leading Holter solution for discerning Hospitals, Cardiologists, IDTF’s (Independent Diagnostic Testing Facilities or Scanning Services) and large multi-specialty practices looking to add Holter scanning to their practices. It is not designed for doctors or groups that do not understand Cardiology, or are just looking to bill a CPT Code.
Coffey Medical sells Philips Zymed Holter as either a distributor or as a Manufacturer’s Representative Group for Philips depending on the market segment:
- For Hospitals, Coffey Medical acts as Philips Medical’s exclusive Manufacturer’s Representative for the entire United States. Hospitals purchase orders are placed directly with Philips Medical using pricing determined by the GPO (Group Purchasing Order) contract discounts available to the hospital. With over 43% market share, hundreds of hospitals in the United States already use Zymed for Holter.
- As Philips Medical’s exclusive and Master Holter distributor, Coffey Medical sells outside of the hospital market across the entire United States to physician practices, IDTF’s and Multi-Specialty Clinics. Because Coffey Medical is the Master Distributor for Philips Holter, we can offer you expertise, business know-how, and better pricing. Some of the largest Cardiology groups and IDTF’s in the country rely on Coffey Medical for their Zymed Holter needs.
We understand what it takes to run a Holter program successfully. Not every practice or hospital should bring Holter in house. If it does not make sense for you, we will refer you to one of our many customers providing Holter as a service using the Philips Zymed system. Coffey Medical has represented the well regarded PageWriter TC Series of cardiographs and the new Cardiac Workstations in the 16 states of Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma for more than 10 years. With the Cardiac Workstation cardiographs, we can meet both hospitals and high-volume clinics electrocardiograph needs. These cardiographs have Philips DXL algorithm, as well as unique features, such as 16-lead capabilities and all the interfacing needs to meet your IT department’s goals.
Coffey Medical also represents the Philips ST80i Stress Testing Treadmill system for hospitals in the 16 states of Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.
